five piece West Sydney band ELARA have released their third single "mirrormatch." the song opens to a low melodic electronica twenty second prelude before immediately throwing you on your head. rapid changes between heavy vocals, rap style speak singing and smooth cleans had me in a tizzy on my first listen through.
mirrormatch has an instant sing ability and likeability akin to something from I PREVAIL. With a bouncy undertone, heavy guitars, blast beating drums, a small section for crowd interaction and versatile vocals, what's not to like?

“They're all about live music and ensuring that there's a community around heavy music. Running the all ages initiative, YOUR LOCALS, they display this no better than in their actions, ensuring sustainable live heavy music is brought to the Youth in Western Sydney.”

“We can dumb it down ‘til an ass hits the asphalt” is possibly my new favourite lyrics from a song, having me laugh at the savagery on my first round in.
I also appreciated the use of "Sacre Bleugh" to achieve the all important (in my eyes) blegh addition. the creative lyricism had me going out of my way to search them to make sure I didn't miss any hidden treasures.
ELARA can be found on all streaming services and most major platforms.
sounds like: I PREVAIL, of mice & men, northlane, parkway drive, a day to remember
